BSOLS hosted a distinguished guest lecture by Justice (Retd.) K.P. Balakrishnan, Former Judge of the Kerala High Court, on the theme of "Constitutional Morality in the Age of Judicial Populism."

Justice Balakrishnan spoke at length about the evolving role of courts in upholding constitutional values against majoritarian pressure, drawing from landmark judgments of the Supreme Court of India. The lecture was attended by faculty, students, and several practising advocates from the district.

A Q&A session followed where students engaged the distinguished speaker on topics including the basic structure doctrine, judicial review, and the role of the advocate in protecting fundamental rights.
